About NEWVIEW SCHOOL New York 2024
Join us at Parsons School of Design for a 2-weekend introductory workshop on STYLY + Apple Vision Pro!! NEWVIEW is a world-wide, simultaneous occurring, experiential project/community where people who embody modern culture such as fashion, music, film, graphic and etc., come together to design, develop, and share creative experiences in immersive spaces. We believe XR and spatial computing is a form of composite art and encourage artists and designers to bring their wildest imaginations and unique backgrounds and skill sets, digital or analog, to immersive realities for a spin.

| Software | Web browser (Google Chrome recommended) and Unity |
| Recommended skills | – We are looking for creative individuals who are interested in taking their ideas into Apple Vision Pro and mixed reality for a spin.
– Participants of the 2 weekend workshops would have to use STYLY Vision Pro SDK and Unity3D for their content development. – Understand the concept of iterative design, protoptyping, and workarounds. – Handle technology (AVP) with care – Easy to work with and kind and supportive to others. – For similar applications, we would prefer applicants with some experience working with Unity3D. |
| Head Mounted Displays (HMDs) | Limited Apple Vision Pro devices will be provided during workshops for testing. |
| Entry to NEWVIEW AWARDS 2024 | We require participants to submit their work to the “NEWVIEW AWARDS 2024” |
| Application Period | The application acceptance will begin on 2 Aug (Fri) and end on 6 Sep (Fri), 2024. The Notification of Admission will be announced individually on 7 Sep or later. |
| Cancellation Policy | If you wish to cancel your attendance to the NEWVIEW SCHOOL, please contact us within one week of your Notification of Admission. If we cannot confirm your payment within one week after we inform you of your admission, and if you cannot confirm your intention to attend the NEWVIEW SCHOOL, we will consider it as a cancellation and we will notify the next person on the admission’s wait list. |
