萌妹子-menmeiz- × Jennykaori
kawaii go beyond project / illustrator ｜Japan
Menmeiz is a project to create a "cross-border kawaii culture" with the aim of "kawaii transcends borders, gender and generations.
The word "menmeiz" is Chinese slang for "kawaii girl" and is written as "萌妹子".
They collaborate with domestic and international influencers and creators to generate a new definition of "KAWAII".
Menmeiz has held pop-up stores in BEAMS JAPAN, WEGO Shimokitazawa, SHIBUYA TSUTAYA, Laforet Harajuku, etc.
With the concept of "the coolness that dwells in girls", Kaori develops girls' illustrations that specialize in fashion with impressive deformations and vivid colors.
Kaori creates various art works such as manufacturers of Harajuku-style characters regardless of subcultures or mainstream, drawings at club events, and provide artwork for domestic and foreign companies, etc.
