OTHER PERSPECTIVE
DETAILS OF THE WORK
AWARDS 2019 FINALISTS
This project is a virtual space which evokes the memories that exist in the unconscious and you perceive the existence of other beings through 'shadows' from a world without a real form. In this virtual world, only the ground and the shadows on the ground which are projected off of something exist. However, the information that you acquire from the 'shadows' by looking at them can be used to imagine unseeable information, such as the form of a building, or the gender and age of a pedestrian. By walking around in this space over and over again you will begin to form a mold of this invisible city in your head. This city is built on nothing but the imagination based on your own experiences. Through this process I want you to enjoy interacting with the memories found in your own unconscious. After leaving this virtual space, perhaps you will see the shadows in the real world a little deeper.
