Q. How many works can one person submit?
A. You can submit as many works as you like.
Q. Can companies submit entries?
A. Yes, they can.
Q. Can works that have already been published be submitted?
A. Yes, they can.
Q. How should I submit my work?
A. Please refer to the submission guidelines on the NEWVIEW AWARDS 2024 application page .
Q. The review processes for the Spatial Computing category and the Site-specific AR category are different, but are they part of the same award?
A. Yes, while the review processes differ, both categories fall under the same award, the NEWVIEW AWARDS 2024. Therefore, although the categories are different, the selection criteria are the same.
Q. What is the finalist exhibition mentioned in the application guidelines?
A. The finalist exhibition will showcase the works of the finalists to the public at a certain location in Tokyo. The organizing committee will plan and implement the exhibition. Further details will be provided as they become available.
Q. Will the performance of the work (such as frame rate stability) affect the reviewing?
A. Performance during execution will not affect the reviewing, but optimization is desirable.
Q. What equipment will be used for the reviewing of the works?
A. The Spatial Computing category will be judged using the Apple Vision Pro, while the Site-specific AR category will be judged using video submissions.
Q. I’m not familiar with creating works using STYLY. How can I improve the quality of my work?

A. You can virtually experience your work using the following methods even without the actual device.

Q. Can I borrow an Apple Vision Pro to review my work?
A. During the award period, we plan to set up locations in certain hub where applicants for the Spatial Computing category can experience the Apple Vision Pro. Details will be provided later.

Q. I have never created a work using city templates or Immersal. How should I proceed?

Q. Is it possible to submit works combined with other devices such as sensor devices or microcontrollers?
A. Yes, it is possible. However, please include explanations in the text and videos submitted with the application so that the judges can understand the intentions and mechanisms.
Q. Is it possible to submit printed paintings/sculptures/graphics with STYLY markers as works?
A. Yes, it is. Please include a description of the work’s experience flow in your work introduction.
Q. Are there any location restrictions for the Site-specific AR category?
A. There are no restrictions, and you can choose any location (city, home, nature, etc.) as your theme. Using city templates, you can easily create site-specific works for specific locations like Shibuya. Additionally, by using the Immersal feature, you can create spatial maps of any location and create works tied to those locations. It is not mandatory to use city templates or the Immersal feature, and you can submit works without using them.
