Launch the app at Shibuya Scramble Crossing, point your camera, and watch as the ordinary world disappears, giving way to a multidimensional live performance.
This AR project transforms the iconic Shibuya Scramble Crossing into a futuristic cosmic concert venue. Leveraging volumetric data of the idol group Dempagumi.inc, it explores new ways to interact with cultural landmarks by merging music, location, and technology.
Once the AR experience begins, a massive dome envelops the entire crossing. Inside, planets and satellites fill the space, creating a celestial atmosphere, while planes fly through the gaps between buildings. Amidst this captivating backdrop, Dempagumi.inc delivers an energetic performance. Above, a UFO carrying the iconic Hachiko statue appears, enhancing the concert with a dazzling light display.
By utilizing AR technology, this project reimagines public spaces as arenas for cultural expression and reflections on the future. It offers an experience that bridges nostalgia and futuristic visions, creating a unique blend of emotions.
Through this immersive journey, Shibuya’s vibrant energy and cutting-edge technology converge, unveiling new possibilities for culture and urban spaces. This project encourages viewers to rediscover the potential of the city as a crossroads of imagination, technology, and community.
