OTHER PERSPECTIVE
DETAILS OF THE WORK
This is a performance piece by JACKSON kaki utilizing the Apple Vision Pro, integrating sound, the human body, and 3DCG.
The work envisions a future shaped by advancements in spatial computing technology, where various media—such as 3DCG, 2D imagery, and sound—are treated as equal entities, and anyone can interact with and manipulate them. The performance explores the act of “manipulation” itself, transforming it into a central theme of the piece.
The narrative draws inspiration from the Japanese folktale Hanasaka Jiisan (The Old Man Who Made Flowers Bloom). In this reimagining, a tree becomes the symbolic center of the world. Through interaction, objects are created and manipulated, culminating in the blooming of flowers, representing growth, creativity, and the convergence of the natural and the digital.
