By applying for this award, you agree to the terms at the time of submission.
1. About Submission
1-1. Eligible Works
We are calling for submissions of works in spatial computing and AR. Eligible works are those created and published using the spatial computing platform “STYLY” (https://styly.cc), which provides artists with a place for spatial expression. It is permissible to use tools other than STYLY (such as 3DCG, game engines, DAW, etc.) during the production process. Previously published works are also eligible for submission.
1-2. Application Period
The application periods for each category are as follows:
- Spatial Computing Category Application Period: August 21, 2024 – October 16, 2024 12:00 (UTC)
- Site-specific AR Category Application Period: August 21, 2024 12:00 – December 17, 2024 12:00 (UTC)
1-3. Applicants
Anyone can apply. (Group applications are also accepted.)
1-4. Participation Fee
Participation is free of charge.
1-5. Submission Materials
The following materials should be submitted for each category.
※Please write in English.
※If applications are submitted only in a language other than English, the administration office will use free translation tools to translate the content for evaluation purposes.
Spatial Computing Category
①One or more captured images of the work

- Title of the work
- Concept of the work
- Ideal method, duration, and location of the experience
- Production software and techniques used
- Concrete image upon completion

※If a password is required for viewing, please include it.
※Please submit in English.
※Works selected as finalists will be featured on the website.
③URL of the Work
※As production support is planned, it is acceptable to submit a work that is not yet finalized.

1-6. How to Apply
This award is organized by Loftwork Inc. and applications will be accepted online through AWRD.com. User registration is required (free of charge). Prepare the submission materials listed in section 1-5 and apply.
2. Copyright
The copyright of the submitted works belongs to the applicants. However, applicants agree that the NEWVIEW project (Psychic VR Lab, PARCO, Loftwork) may reproduce, process, video, and publish the submitted works for promotional purposes without obtaining permission from the applicants.

4. About Judging
4-1. Selection Criteria
Theme: Visions that weave context – Redefining the connection between information and people –
1) Creativity and Originality
Does the work adopt innovative ideas or approaches?
2) Message and User Experience
Does the work provide a message and user experience that offers new perspectives and/or insights?
3) Impact
How much impact does the work have on society, and what potential does it present for the future?
4-2. Review Process
- Spatial Computing Category
- Review of Works Eligible for Production Support: The NEWVIEW AWARDS secretariat will review the works and project plans to select approximately 10 works eligible for production support.
- Finalist Review: About 10 works will be selected as finalists from the works that passed the production support review and the works of NEWVIEW SCHOOL participants. These will be the works for the final review.
- Final Review: The final review by the judges will determine the awards (PRIZES). The review will be conducted using the Apple Vision Pro.
- Site-specific AR Category
- Finalist Review: About 10 works will be selected as finalists from the entries for the final review.
- Final Review: The final review by the judges will determine the awards (PRIZES). The review will be conducted by viewing the submitted work introduction videos and experiencing the works on smartphones and tablets with STYLY Mobile installed.
5. Finalist Exhibition
The works selected as finalists through the finalist review will be exhibited at the planned finalist exhibition in Tokyo.
6. Important Notes for Application
6-1. Prohibited Acts
- Any form of falsification in the submission is prohibited.
- Submitted works must be original creations completed independently. If the submitted work uses materials created by third parties (art, photos, fonts, etc.), the applicant must obtain the necessary permissions for copyright and portrait rights from the original creators. If materials infringing on third-party rights are used, the work will be disqualified upon discovery.
- Furthermore, even if claims of rights infringement or damages are made by third parties against the applicant or the organizer, the organizer will not be held responsible.
- All actions that violate Japanese domestic laws or international laws are prohibited. Actions that cause physical or mental harm to third parties, defame third parties, or infringe on any rights of third parties are prohibited. Actions that violate public order and morals are also prohibited.
6-2. Disclaimer
- Works that do not comply with the application method and specifications outlined in the application guidelines will be excluded from the review.
- If no works are deemed suitable for the award, there may be no award-winning works.
- We will not respond to any inquiries regarding the review status or results from applicants.
6-3. Handling of Personal Information
Personal information provided for this award will be used solely for the purpose of review and communication related to the award. Except for cases where disclosure or provision to business subcontractors is necessary, personal information will not be disclosed or provided to third parties without the consent of the individual.
