OTHER PERSPECTIVE
DETAILS OF THE WORK
"This work is the third installment in the multi-media series Les Hommes du Désert by contemporary artist Eiko Yoshizumi. It builds upon the previous work Tower on the Sands: Fortnite Edition to create an Apple Vision Pro Edition.
Inspired by the deification of cattle found in various civilizations worldwide, this piece portrays the journey of the cattle gods from different cultures, traveling across time and space to arrive in contemporary Japan. These gods manifest in our surroundings through spatial computing, blending past and present landscapes.
The worlds the cattle gods have traveled through appear as transparent, ghostly landscapes, creating an intangible presence in space. In this experience, their existence is perceived through sound, triggered by our interactions with these incorporeal beings.
Elements from previous works in the series, such as ink-painted graphic scores, 3D models, and the contemporary opera ""Ebb and Flow,"" have been extracted and restructured to form this new piece."
