OTHER PERSPECTIVE

DETAILS OF THE WORK

They say that flowers fall in the afterlife when we remember the deceased.

Did I pray properly?
I sometimes feel uneasy when I think of this. Even if I prayed, “May you be happy,” what would it mean to me?
Prayers cannot be seen, heard, or touched. What if this prayer has no effect, no meaning?

Wait, why am I praying?

This work is both a product to visualize prayer and the act itself.
It allows fragile and unstable “prayer” to exist as something certain.

There is a theory that the word “prayer” originates from the words “life” and “declaration. To declare one's life. With the evolution of XR technology, our existence is becoming more and more shaky. Reality and fiction are blending, and the body is becoming ambiguous. ...... If this is the case, it would make some sense to shout out our existence once again in the MR world, the boundary between reality and fiction.

I want to believe that my prayer, though small and fleeting, has indeed been heard. For this reason, I have decided to rain flowers.

I think I am praying for others in order to save myself.
