NEWVIEW AWARDS, the XR Content Awards in the fields of Fashion / Culture / Art, start a new Prize called "ULTRA IDEA PRIZE " that does not require technical expertise and can be won with one idea!
Sample works by Nick den Boer, a digital artist based in Toronto, Canada who serves on the jury for the prize, and Marina Fujiwara, a content creator active in Japan and abroad with a focus on "making useless things," have been made public.

The ULTRA IDEA Prize, which will recognize creations that move our hearts with unique ideas and expressions, provide an opportunity for those who have never made AR/VR works before（or XR beginners） to take up the challenge. The build should be as simple as possible. The estimated experience time is 15 seconds.

Both Nick den Boer and Marina Fujiwara's samples are simple creations that arrange 3D models and add animations, with the idea of creating a unique experience that takes advantage of AR/VR's unique features.

The production and distribution platform is "STYLY"（https://styly.cc）a VR/AR/MR creative platform that provides a space for artists in all fields of digital expression to exhibit their creative styles.

The human-dolphin hybrid creature runs around in circles. You can film your friends chasing him or just chase him yourself with your camera.
The dolphin represents a backward take on the evolution of mammals from aquatic species.

■Submissions
The submitted work must be made in STYLY
(https://styly.cc) and must be a compelling piece of art that can be experienced in approximately 15 seconds.

■Winning Benefits
The prize winner will be provided USD2,000 for production support and the right to attend the "NEWVIEW SCHOOL" in 2023 to learn more about the XR approach and technology.
※The attendance areas of NEWVIEW SCHOOL (Japan, Canada, UK, Taiwan, etc.) will be discussed with the winners.

■Judge
The ULTRA IDEA Prize will be judged by Nick den Boer, a Toronto, Canada-based digital artist who has directed and produced music videos and tour visuals for famous artists such as deadmau5 and Flying Lotus, as well as countless TV shows, films, and VR projects.

These prizes will be judged by the jury and also the social media response. In addition to submitting your entry on AWRD.com, please be sure to post it on Twitter or Instagram with the "#NEWVIEWAWARDS2022" hashtag, using the following format.

NEWVIEW AWARDS 2022 Overview

NEWVIEW AWARDS 2022, an XR Content Awards in the fields of Fashion / Culture / Art.

The objective is to present a new form of culture/lifestyle experience to society ahead of the near future, when all creators have access to 3D spatial representation (XR), and to discover the next generation of creators who can lead the design of this ultra experience. The NEWVIEW AWARDS has since received a total of 774 entries from 17countries over the past four years, contributing to the production of talent currently active on the XR scene.

The objective is to present a new form of culture/lifestyle experience to society ahead of the near future, when all creators have access to 3D spatial representation (XR), and to discover the next generation of creators who can lead the design of this ultra experience.

The theme for this year's awards, which will be the 5th anniversary of these awards, is "Create a Melting Reality." We are looking for works that explore forms of expression and experiences that integrate our real and virtual worlds both physically and sensorially so as to bring our existing culture to greater heights! Winning artists will be offered the necessary support to set up their next-generation XR content in Tokyo's Shibuya, a melting pot of many different cultures from all over the world, both ancient and modern. We will also be implementing trials in the near future that are aimed at transforming major cities around the world into a real metaverse through the works of artists.
