ABOUT

``NEWVIEW'' is a project to explore XR expression jointly by Psychic VR Lab Co., Ltd. (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo), Parco Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), and Loftwork Co., Ltd. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo). , the complex event “NEWVIEW FEST 2023”, which is the culmination of the 2023 season, will be held at Shibuya PARCO from December 8th (Friday) to December 10th (Sunday), 2023.

2023 aims to create a new perspective of reality through XR. In addition to holding an exhibition to present the results of artists selected for the artist support program "NEWVIEW OPENCALL" at Shibuya PARCO B1F "GALLERY
A total of more than 50 diverse artists/creators at the forefront of the multidimensional XR culture that has emerged from the accumulation of activities over the past six years since 2018 will hold exhibitions, live performances, markets, Express it in the form of a talk.

    A creators market selling artwork and miscellaneous goods will be held on the 9th floor of Shibuya PARCO.
    This market will feature 15 creators who have participated in NEWVIEW activities.
    We will also exhibit and sell posters featuring graphics of XR20 works by creators from a variety of genres.

    We are planning a FEST version of the experimental program "NEWVIEW DOMMUME," which views XR as a multidimensional world where reality and virtuality blend, and examines it from diverse perspectives such as technology, ideology, and culture.
    In addition to talks by artists selected for OPEN CALL, plans are being made for special guests to appear.

    On the first night, December 8th (Friday) from 18:00 (scheduled), an opening party will be held where artists who cross and expand genres and scenes will perform.
    Workshops and talks will also be held at other dates and venues. We will add color to the festival mood with a number of experimental events that stimulate curiosity.

MUTEK.JP ☓ NEWVIEW COLLABORATION WORK

  • XR's experimental project/community "NEWVIEW" has teamed up with MUTEK.JP to present a work that provides a dual viewing experience. This time, we will feature Tomoro Kinoshita, who is also a finalist in the NEWVIEW AWARDS 2022 global award for XR works, as a participating artist.

  • In this work by Tomoro Kinoshita, titled ``Humarium,'' he creates a work mechanism that uses virtual space and the perspective of an avatar to interchange the subject and object of the act of humans observing each other in the real world. This work sharpens the ability to perceive information about passive objects by experiencing the space with one's own consciousness as an object.

    In addition to the venue at Shibuya PARCO, this work will also be exhibited at the 4th floor of the entrance hall of "MUTEK.JP ProConference In collaboration with Mawari" (venue: Shibuya Stream). By experiencing the works of the two venues, the meaning of the works becomes more firmly established.
